On May 29, 2025, PHD Ministry, in collaboration with Antena Village of Busanza Cell, Kanombe Sector, conducted a community outreach event focused on fighting malnutrition and promoting better health for children between the ages of 0 and 5.
On May 29, 2025, PHD Ministry, in collaboration with Antena Village of Busanza Cell, Kanombe Sector, conducted a community outreach event focused on fighting malnutrition and promoting better health for children between the ages of 0 and 5.
The initiative featured three key activities:
Establishment of a Vegetable Garden: A demonstration garden was planted at the Antena Village office to serve as a sustainable source of nutritious vegetables for families.
Nutritional Training: Mothers and caregivers received practical training on preparing balanced, nutritious meals to improve the dietary health of their young children and prevent malnutrition.
Food Sample Distribution: At the end of the session, children were given samples of nutritious food, illustrating how to incorporate healthy ingredients into daily meals.
The event emphasized community involvement and education as essential tools in the fight against child malnutrition. Local leaders and participants expressed appreciation for the hands-on approach and ongoing support from PHD Ministry.
